With Rapsodia De Ensueño I did not want to say anything new. I wanted to stretch a little further the calm I had already touched in Serenidad En Mí, but from a different starting point: drifting. Letting a thought go far without chasing it.

The piece has no fixed direction. It comes and goes between images that never quite settle, like a memory that blurs just as you try to look at it closely. That is why it speaks of reverie and not of sleep: here you do not fall asleep, you stay floating awake for a while.

I am not asking you to listen to it to reach any conclusion. If something has to happen while it plays, let it happen on its own. Memory, imagination, a bit of rest, whatever the person playing it needs.

Song notes

There are no lyrics here either: no image asked for a word on top of it. I was after something like a lullaby that never quite puts you to sleep: enough calm to let your guard down, and something that keeps moving underneath, like an idea you have not yet named. It is the piece I play when I need to think about nothing in particular.
