I played on purpose with the confusion between the city and the person. When I say she lights up my voice or that I hand her my soul, it works for someone and it works for the place. Gandia here is not a backdrop, it is almost another character, with its streets, its harbour and its river running down to the sea. I put in the real names of the region without fear: I wanted anyone from here to recognise their home, and anyone who is not to imagine it. There are things that only come out in my own language, and a party night in Gandia was one of them.
