'Triumphant' is a big word, and at first I wasn't sure about putting it in the title. I kept it in the end because it's honest: after nine tracks wrestling with different versions of myself, I wanted the last one to sound like, yes, it was worth it.
It's not a fully closed ending — I leave a couple of chords hanging near the very end, on purpose. I'd rather it sound like this continues than here it all ends. At the close of the whole record, I think that's the most honest thing I can say: I've come back, but I'm still walking.
